Grumpy Rooster
My tail feathers are uncovered and bare, the rooster man said.
The nurses laughed their petootsies off; he was touched in the head.
That’s how all of the gowns do, they told him, but he was not happy.
He groused and grumbled all the way down the hall next to my pappy.
