Group Hugs and Raindrops

Falling so fast
You're standing still
Just now
In this one moment
Raindrops fall on my lashes

I look and
Is the sky breaking, or am I?
Soaked
Yet
Weightless

Everything stops when
He looks at me
And I smile
Wild and
Unrelenting as the storm.
With an echoing laugh.

She looks at me and
Joy
Pure happiness
Erupt on her lips.
They all stand in awe

Spinning in the rain
We know
Solitude is freezing
So we join
Arms around each other
Hoping
Praying
Wishing
This moment to forever be ours.

What a lovely poem, Iris. I've felt these same feelings of wanting to immortalize a moment. I loved the play of rain in the poem. I love rain. Thanks for your recent visit to my work. Hugs

Than you so much! I love rain too, if someone could bottle the smell and give it to me I'd be the happiest person in the world! Have a nice day.
