Green Light

Days to come, Forward I ride. Divine Favored is my in the continually flow of green lights. Gentle drive passes all that once taunt me with flashing reds. Much traffic jams once in my yesteryears. Accidents were countless, Fatal injures left my heart scared- Who was I to find kindness in this, To live? No Where Avenues were called many streets, Names declare meaning. Detour signs lead to dead ends. Short cuts only left I broken down, Bumming a ride back to town, Carrying a gas can, Fuel of strength on empty. Eyes wider than the bypass, Little critters were known to be out there. Road-kills planted in the ditches, Always trying to stand in the way. Demons try to cross the straight and narrow path, Blocking the view. Which Way/way kept I from such tragic? Time has taken the wondering away. Now I take the long way home. Into the opened countryside. Steady hands, Spirit in focus, Soul is one. Modern day steel horse drives firm on the highway, Yet, The machine or I? Maybe I should glimpse up? And I do with a tender look of meaningful thanksgiving. I ride for the now leaving the yesterdazes behind, Figure out not, Only wasted moments, Leaving all in the Hands of The Above. Glory, Green Light Is He on my journey Heaven bound!
