Green Coloured Glasses

I have never seen Ireland We plan a vacation there And yet I worry Will it disappoint me? Will frustration with Troubles Cloud my vision? Can I concentrate on the countryside Knowing that religion has reared its ugly head Wales is oh so beautiful Will I see Ireland through angry eyes? Ruined by a greedy English king Who could not sire a son Or will hope widen my vision? Will I see through Celtic eyes That know the ways And live the days In freedom
