Interesting feel to this one. It's like your making a comment about a painting that stood on the safe-side ... a painter who made something that was technically great, but lacked a soul. I'm curious on whether or not you saw the painting first and wrote the haiku, or vica-versa! I'm assuming the former but I could be wrong...

It's always interesting listening to your musing, Timothy! You are right in most of what you say. The painting came first (it was part of a contest); I was not really criticizing it, but it did not inspire me .. I felt it lacked passion. ~ Txs for the visit! // paul

Quite often when life or art becomes too relaxed the heart and soul go missing... An interesting poem that is filled with truth. Nice work, Paul! :)

Hi Olive_eloi:) I like painting but not all pictures manage to reach out to me; this one left me void of emotion! maybe it's a combination of the cold weather, too! Hugs // paul

Hi Andrea...this picture is part of Debbie's poetry challenge. I did not go in for it as I'm very busy at the moment, but still scribbled a 3 liner to express my reaction to the picture. ~ regards // paul

funny my last comment to "The Beat Goes On" was "Such passion".All that is missing is a touch of red Paul. If you are looking for "cool harmony", best not have it.

Thank you for the feedback, Jean. Harmony is essential in life, but not at the cost of passion! ~ All the best. // paul
