Lovely John-- 'Green' could not be more honoured in this Tanka. I too associate Green with freshness-- revealed to us through God's glory-- we just have to look out a window to appreciate that. We of course are heading into winter, but Green stills prevails in our garden right now :)

Green is the color of life (though some may look at it as the color of money). Wonderful job... best of luck on the contest! My tanka was about orange... a little unorthodox but it's always been my favorite color.
