Grammy's Ice Capade

I stepped on ice, and took a dive, Right before grandbabies five. Look at Grammy Go-Go-Go! Then slipped a disc.... Oh, oh, oh, oh! But I'm Stayin' Alive, Stayin' Alive..........

I've slipped on ice and the flinging of the arms, the quick over correcting of feet out of control was very funny to my onlookers, but this poem was actually for fun, drawn from snippets of past experiences that seemed riotously funny. Happily I didn't slip a disc, but I thought it was sort of funny in reference to a 'compact disc' coupled with the tune the tune of 'Stayin' Alive'. Artistic license :-) I was just trying to put together a goofy limerick :-D I was however able to draw from some painfully 'funny' past experiences that seemed hysterical to the kids....but left me with a bruised sternum after tripping and flying through the air with the greatest of ease....that is, until I stopped abruptly! That still generates laughs, albeit nobody laughs at the pain it generated for me or my recovery time! My pride was bruised as much as my sternum was. That was so not fun! Even that makes me laugh though. I should have remembered my age, but boy, what a reminder I got!

It was a fictitious poem, and the slipped disc was added for dramatic effect. I've slipped on ice and it's a real hoot, but slipping a disc, no....but still would have seemed like a riotous joke to the onlookers! Funniest videos comes to my mind. Boy, the laughs that show generates! Somehow it all 'looks' so funny...as long as its not a personal experience! It is not so much fun to experience though!
