Notes About The Poem

Graduation Dessert Dilemma

Reading my son’s graduation dinner menu It filled me with consternation Will I make a foolish choice … I’m full of trepidation My favourite dessert is on the list It’s stiffie cockie pudding Oops – there I go I meant sticky toffee pudding If I make my spoonerism – I hope and pray it will be missed!! My first poem posted here is called ‘Just Desserts’ and is a true story. When I read my son’s graduation dinner menu I just HAVE to order this pudding – wish me luck on the day!!!! 6th June 2016

Congrats on the graduation and enjoy the festivities! Love your poem - very cheerful like a party should be. A little Sticky Toffee Pudding never hurt nobody... Jesse

Here is my sincere one: May this day that symbolizes so many things on the parental/child path as well as the son-to-man path, shine with abundant blessings, love, unity, hope and excitement, so much so that happy memories are made by all family members. Congrats to all because I know your son is who is he because of who you and Bob are. Much love, CayCay

I'm sure there is no danger of you making a cockerism on that day. Don't let your anxiety grow or eat so much that day that you show a bulge. (oh, having so much fun with you today (See your "Why I Love ....")) CayCay Anyway, yes, honey, rots of *uck!
