Gossip Hurts

Idle gossip, has no place, you only hurt, yourself instead. Many think, they know so much, when they use their tongue, for their habits crutch. If they really were concerned, for anothers ways, then they would give comfort, in the words they say. Prayer for those, that walk astray, is what one needs, if traveling harms way. Please show concern, and plenty of love, for a gossiping tongue, will usually get burned. I am dealing with this very subject right now, and I get so upset over people that are supposed to have your best interest at heart, to let their mouth get in their way of seeing what they are really doing....sometimes quiet is much better.....please tell me if I am right.....

Hi there Christy! When I was at school, we played a game one day. Everyone in the class had to write something down on a piece of paper...then say it to another student. Whatever had been written down, was whispered one to one, until it was said to the entire class. At the end, the last person said what the first had whispered. The initial statement became something utterly different. I think you're right to have done this piece..will give others an awareness, Christy. Best to you...Mikki

hi Christy, gossip does truly hurt, but that is still no reason for you to be quiet, all you can do is be the best you that makes you, you, it is just such a shame that this has happened since the beginning of time and still has managed to continue, I just try to be careful of the friends that I make, at 1 Corinthians 15:33 bad association sopils useful habits, so be ware of the company that you keep, and please don't take this friendly advice the wrong way, take care D-ncye

Of course you are so right. Sadly it is a part of life as many people have no clue. I have dealt with this one too many times. Sorry you are going through this now. Hugs, Shar xoxo

I think all of us have gossiped at one time or another and it is so easy to get caught up in it. and most with morals realize the error of their ways and either stop and some apologize. Christy you are right, the best thing I have found is if I have a problem with somebody I go to that person and confront them with the issue, but you are right say something nice or say nothing at allAlways Ron

You are so right on with this one!!! Gossip is never helpful and hurts way to often. My thoughts is why bother with these people. In the end, it is the gossiper that is the biggest loser as they end up with no true friends. Good message in this poem. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and for taking time to comment on my poem. Keep on writing! Karen

You are sooooo right, and this was deeply written and profoundly expressed, some things are better left unsaid and unheard, knowing that there is something in your life that was supposed to be private and now it's floating around, is devastating indeed. True message here, I hope many will read this one and appreciate it as I have, thanks for sharing, Awesome write...Tyesha
