Goodnight

As the evening star sets
in the western sky,
we see the last
of a day going by.

It’s time to look ahead
to the light of dawn,
after the hour
of dusk has gone.

The morning will have
its brisk cool air,
as rays from the sun
shine everywhere.

To grasp tomorrow’s
splendor in sight,
we must first begin
by saying goodnight.
