Goodbye Sun Hello Moon

As I say bye to the Sun I greet the moon It's the end of another day Winter is here so our visit was short I hate when the Sun goes away I trust it to Yanny on her side of the World She patiently waited to start her day The moon was her companion Thankfuly she sent it back my way The moons lesser light Is not it's light at all It has been borrowed from the Sun A mere reflection of perfection That's meant to be shared with everyone I smile at the Moon Yanny greets the Sun It's time to put my computer away I say good morning to Yanny And wish her an extrordinary day Dedicated to Yanny a Ray of Sunshine from the other side of the World.

Reflection of perfection? What a way to relieve a stressful tension (you my friend are worth a mention!)... it's almost 1 o'clock in the morning here and I might me becoming delirious... haha. What I like most about this poem is how both the sun and moon are greeted with warm smiles... for whatever reason the way you worded this I couldn't help but imagine an expert juggler... his balls being the sun and the moon... funny what poetry can do to people sometimes, eh?

this is really awesome,,,Richard,, the sentiment is not lost on me either, having lived in the southern hemisphere for 45 years of my life, and the family in the northern..this poem reflects such wonderful peace and harmony, and appreciation of what most of us on the planet, take for granted...again a wonderful poem.. thank you...

Poetic thoughts. The third verse has some great visuals, especially because I have always liked astronomy. Thanks for your comments too. Some people's are rather mindless, so I appreciate it when you take the time to write pertinent comments.
