Goodbye Kiss

Reason escapes me these days But always I remember that kiss. I remember thinking it might be the last one we’d ever have; But I convinced myself it wasn’t but it was. And yes I remember the taste of her mouth; That I once kissed so often; I tried so hard to interject my undying love that night; But I guess we’d spent too much of ourselves back then. It’s so hard now feeling forgotten like this; I never forgot is that wrong? It was a New Year’s Eve kiss; Clouded by fate it’s self but; Not likely to ever be forgotten.
