Goodbye
There is no good in “Good bye,”
only a finality and a cry.
A parting of “See you soon,”
is much friendlier a tune.
There is no good in “Goodbye,”
only someone wondering why.
Let's say we'll meet in a while,
and leave a reassuring smile.
There is no good in “Goodbye.”
Just a notion to jump and fly.
With a wave, you are gone.
It's tantamont to, “So long.”
There is no good in “Goodbye.”
We will meet again, do try?
Drop the bye leave the good,
and say “Later” if you would.
