Goodbye

Goodbye
I've left you
No more violence
Battered for the last time
Goodbye

***** Written for my daughter. She left her husband this weekend. Yay! I'm so proud of her.

Kimberly, One must have courage and faith which is there for the asking. An empowering message for those who will listen. Blessings, Connie

Kimberly, I hope she stays away. Too often, women are somehow "hooked" into the abuse. Rally around and show your love. And pray that she finds strength elsewhere and stays out of the abuse. I'll include her in my prayers. Nice cinqu. (And thanks for reading and commenting on my poetry.) Lovingly, Dane Ann

It is good that your daughter has your support Kimberly. Many women in the same situation have no one to turn to. I wish her all the best...Margaret

That must have taken a lot of courage. my heart goes out to her, she's been through a lot from what you tell me in such few yet unmistakably horrible images. I'd be proud too, it takes guts to see the truth for what it is...thanks for sharing and please send her my best if appropriate. -Yoni.

GOOD poem and GOOD for her!! It must be so hard, especially if there are any kids involved. My son is a lawyer now and sees this all the time but he tells me the women won't face the guy in court, so nothing ever gets resloved. It is so important to take action. And it requres great bravery. LUv, andrea
