Good Morning Mom
Good Morning Mom
What is your day like?
What are you doing now?
Do you have things to do?
Can I be of help to you?
I have been here before,
you are at my door,
you need me now,
I am here.
You got up late,
You have missed your bus,
time is short,
I am here.
Yes, I can take you…
That is my response.
My kid laughs and smiles on the other side.
“I will get right up, I was going that way…”
at this time in the morning, I had nothing else to say…
(a big mom smile on my face)
Off to get ready, knowing the day will be alright,
a huge problem, a dilemma had been made… light.
I can hear singing and laughing somewhere in the house.
“Thank you for the morning Lord.” (whispered)
I am here.
