Good and Evil

You and I, my friend, are not different at all, although At first glance, we seem to come from very different worlds. True, you wear the regalia of justice, virtue, and love And I the rugs of injustice, vice, and hate But Don't let yourself be deceived by appearances though for We are the descendants of the same father: Eros or Cupid. As you may know, Eros was the child of goddess Aphrodite or Venus, the goddess of love, And that of Ares or Mars - the God of war who apparently are our Grandparents. It is clear, therefore, that you are not just my friend but my brother, For Whatever characteristics we both have inherited are the results of Their sacred union Thus The virtues inherited by you, I have inherited them as well, and the vices that You see in me are also to be found in your soul. From that we easily we could conclude that you are not born intrinsically Good, nor was I born intrinsically evil. Only the decisions we take and the choices we make in the circumstances life Puts us in, make the difference. We must remember that there is nothing purely good or purely evil for the Two forces coexist and the two are interconnected. Needless to say then that I could very well be you and you very well be me if You and I had differently acted. You see, my brother, Necessity has established within our souls, divine strife - this endless battle Of Venus against Mars which each of them aims for supremacy to gain in the Core of our being.
