Not every story has a happy ending. Sadly, there are so many stray cats in this world. :(
Lying 'neath an evergreen
and nowhere else to go
It kept my dry, but not so warm,
when it began to snow
I was watching Mr. Warm Guy
walk inside his home
And I wondered if he saw me there
sitting all alone
It had just passed 11:00pm
nearing midnight, I believe
I was literally freezing my tail off
on that snowy Christmas eve
The snow continued falling
And it snowed all through the night
'Twas six feet deep- meThinks?
When it stopped at mornings light
Christmas day had finally come
And I was still beneath the tree
no one else was there, you see
To spend Christmas day with me
I heard Mr. Warm Guys neighbors talking
Mr. Warm Guy passed away
He had passed away near his door
When he was on his way...
To rescue a poor little kitten
Who was beneath a tree and all alone
And to keep him warm, from the storm
And to bring him to his home
