I won a goldfish at the fayre,
‘twas in a bag, now it’s down there
Till dad comes back I’ll sit and stare,
it was my first pet, life’s so unfair
I tripped and fell grazing my knee,
the bag burst far away from me
Fishy escaped it was all wriggly,
maybe it’s swimming back to sea
I’ll try not to cry, but I’m upset,
I think dad’s gone to get a net
Perhaps he’ll bring the local vet,
I hope they find my missing pet!
