I won a goldfish at the fayre, ‘twas in a bag, now it’s down there Till dad comes back I’ll sit and stare, it was my first pet, life’s so unfair I tripped and fell grazing my knee, the bag burst far away from me Fishy escaped it was all wriggly, maybe it’s swimming back to sea I’ll try not to cry, but I’m upset, I think dad’s gone to get a net Perhaps he’ll bring the local vet, I hope they find my missing pet! This is gold. To me, it really is gold because all my muse has managed is lengthy scenarios when you just brilliantly proved the impact and possibility of short and excellent creativity for the contest. YOU ARE SO GOOD so consistently and so FREQUENTLY that you blow my mind in the best possible way! Hugs ... CayCay

Well done, Jan! I hope Eve chooses this as the winner! When I won the first goldfish for my daughter, she had yet to learn the word, "fish", so dubbed it, "shooky" and we have called fish "shookies" since then. Aloha! Rico

aww what sweet memories Rico, its amazing how we get family names for things, we call spiders 'doiders' as son couldn't say incy wincy spider. Now hubby and I use it when we see a lass with HUGE false eyelashes and say 'look at the doiders on that' lol:-) hugs Jan xx

Jan, this is whimsical, fun, charming, and terrifically perfect for this contest. Expressing the hope they will find the fish is great! Made me laugh.

I didn't look at the picture before reading you so when I saw "now it's down there" I expected that it had been flushed down the potty. That's your usual direction. Nicely written, Jan.
