There was a young artist and bard Who loved doing things in the yard But the grass was as thin As the hairs on his chin And mowing the dirt left him scarred He purchased a lawn, sight-unseen His bride felt the price was obscene So he said to his wife (To avoid further strife) "Why honey, we're just going green!" ~ 3rd Place ~ in the "Green Humor Rhymes, Old Or New For Prizes" Poetry Contest, Carolyn Devonshire, Judge & Sponsor. Not sure, but I'm guessing the new lawn wasn't sod. Perhaps outdoor green carpeting that doesn't require moving. Congratulations on your win! There were many great entries, so you should be proud of your achievement. Best wishes, Carolyn
