Image result for winter woods at night

Prickly cool fills my lungs, Like a bladder canteen on a Bedu dromedary, Sloshing the alveoli that branch, internal ... Frozen filligree fanning my firkin chest. I blink a tear, staring up at the belt of Orion, Cold as the snow that wraps me like mother's womb. Forever lost in the frightening beauty of God's providence, I sacrifice my last breath to the naked, shimmering heavens, Letting the night devour me, tender and bleak, As I dream ... of sand castles. ~ 1st Place ~ in the "Early March 2019 Any Form, Any Theme" Poetry Contest, Brian Strand, Judge & Sponsor.

Like a bladder canteen on a Bedu dromedary, I don't think that word combination has ever been written before, you are a true trailblazing wordsmith. No mediocrity ever evident in your writing Greg, just amazing. I will admit I had to look up alvioli and firkin though.

Thank you so much, John, especially for noticing my rather unusual phrasing and word combos ... those things still have to make sense, but so much fun to create. I think it keeps writing fresh and outside the ordinary. Blessings, Brother! :-)

I have always loved stargazing and pondering both life and the universe my dear friend. This is a wonderfully crafted and brilliantly deep too. A fav... Basking in Heaven's soft night glow* with mind seeking with heart in tow* wading among stardust, its glee sky between heaven earth and me.*
