God's Word Shines In Front of Me - Psalm 119: 105-112
God's word shines in front of me
to guide and comfort all the way
confirmation by our oath has sworn
God's righteous law by our stay
In the midst of much affliction
cry out to God for His sword that's life
give to the Lord the praise He's due
learn His rules so avoid this world's strife
With my whole life held in my hands
keeping my eyes continually on God's law
be always aware of the devil's snares
make sure to see God's word with awe
My heart is ever filled with joy
knowing God's law for my heritage
follow my heart to do your will
obeying divine law my constant gage
(This is my " Psalm 119 project" which I began to write a couple of years ago, so this is the fourteenth poem of twenty-two poems I've written over that time to cover all of Psalm 119.)
