God's Particular Love - John 3: 16

God so loved the world
a world rejecting this love
but God elected out of mercy
His own flock destined for above

That He gave His only son
to go all the way to Golgotha
dying for the sins of His own
this planned by the divine author

That whoever believes in Him
believing in Jesus brings salvation
as God calls come and be saved
from every tribe, tongue and nation

May not die but have eternal life
God desires blessing for His own sheep
So to escape eternal spiritual death
but receive endless redemption to keep

The gospel of John chapter 3 verse 16
has an amazing promise to all
having a particular love on whoever
to not die but obey His urgent call

('God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whoever believes in Him may not die but have eternal life' John 3:16)

Like many others, this is the first verse I learned. My favorite as well. The message indeed needs to be reminded. Gordon, I will come back during the week and read more of your poems. If you have a certain poem you want me to read, please give me the name of the poem. Always... Linda
