God's Open Door

Christ Jesus our Savior is waiting for you.
His door stands open wide.
Won't you accept His invitation,
to come and walk inside.

It's sinner's like you and me,
He gave His life to save.
Not one of us is worthy,
but our sins were covered at His grave.

And don't think good people go to heaven.
Because not one of us is good enough,
despite the good deeds that we do,
we're still all sinner's, through and through!

Yet, His saving grace is there for us.
No matter where we are,
or what we've done,
His arms reach out to everyone.

There is no entrance fee to pay.
Just say, Lord Jesus, show me The Way.
And when you enter into God's open door,
you'll hear all heaven's welcome roar.

Thank you, Colan, I am surprised that the poem I wrote in 2014 is still getting a response! And I appreciate your comments. I almost forgot writing that poem, but what I wrote is still what I feel today. In return, I will read one of your poems and comment.

I'm thankful for God's open door and the way you have expressed views about it in your composition ! God bless you in your efforts for Him. I like your "style" of writing. (That is evident in writings I have published.) Colan Hiatt

that is so lovely and true, we had a healing conference at church this weekend Friday and Saturday but I had work, and they were charging 20 pound per person if u a member of church or 25 pound non members,, well I went to church today and told my friend if God is going to heal us he will do it hear and now we don't have to pay to be healed, and the thing is, I got prayer for healing today, the lady praying for me knew exactly what was going on, and I am free, I am healed, Amen,

Diane, I agree completely with what you said. I would not trust any healing conference that charges you money. There are so many fake healers out there that just want your money. And I am so glad that you received your healing from a Christian woman. Praise God!

Thanks Darlene: This poem so well depicts "what it is all about." The rhyme, flow, and message give insight to great poetry that exalts our Savior. The basic Gospel message is what the world needs amid the chaos of turbulent times.

Good morning Colan. You are right, all Christians need to share the good news of the gospel with others and help to bring them to our Savior. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. And my heart goes out to the unsaved. Thank you for your visit and comments...

Darlene, Gary here again. I wanted to let you know that Liam and I have another fantasy write called "Always a Dream," which was posted on 29 October. You can look for it under my name and poems (and I believe that Liam posted it as well with his poems). I just thought you might like this one too!! It's about a "Fairy Princess" who meets a "Leprechaun" with his pot of gold. They fall in love and when they kiss each other they become human as a princess and prince and are happy forever. Gary

Wow, Gary, my head will swell if you keep that up! But thanks and I am glad this poem touched you. God, of course, gets the praise because he inspires me to write his messages through me and other poets, etc. So I thank Him for that wonderful gift. Thanks for the 7 and the sav. That means a lot to me. Blessings, Darlene
