God’s Got Our Back
As we walk into the shadow of 2024
The renewal of a year, a brand-new door
We’ll sleep in the valley of a peaceful snore
Why?
Cause Gods got our back
Throughout each challenge of this new year
Even the bad stuff that we hear
In faithful hope, we will not fear
Why?
Cause God’s got our back
Money may be short from time to time
In my pocket may only be a dime
But by day next Cash app will jingle with its chyme
Why?
Cause God’s got our back
We’ll keep on keep praying and helping those in need
Trying our best to do a good deed
For the sick and grieving to intercede
Why?
Cause God’s got our back
Throughout each morning of the coming days
We’ll start our prayers by thankful praise
To still be alive, our voices to raise
Why?
Cause God’s got our back.
Go tell someone, what’s been done
Through knowing the Father and the Son
Jehovah Rohi, The Passover Lamb
Who gave his life , for death to withstand
Why?
Cause God had our back
And now a new year has come to be
No longer two thousand twenty-three
A new year some didn’t get to see
A new year of blessings we claim to be
Why?
Cause God’s got our back.
