This is a song I wrote and added a line our two from a couple popular hymns at the end.
God Will Provide *with portions of hymns remixed* Vs1. A young man carrying wood upon his back made his way up a hill He was weary and he was tired but he would do his fathers will. When they made it to the top, his father said to stop, and he only had one question about the plan…"father, here's the wood…where's the lamb?" With shaking hands,Abraham, bound his only son, knowing God's promise would be done. In his faith he would abide. He said, "my son, God will provide!" 1st chorus: God will provide the lamb to be slain. He'll do it now and He'll do it once again! God will provide a way for all to be saved, yes,my son,our God will provide! Vs.2 A young man carrying wood upon his back made his way up a hill He was weary and he was tired but he would do his Father's will. When they made it to the top, his mother cried,"please stop!" The soldiers mocked, and his disciples ran. Through the pain he tried to stand and he cried out,"Father, here's the wood …and here's your Lamb!" 2nd chorus: God provided the Lamb to be slain,he bore our sins and he took all the blame! God provided a way for all to be saved! Our God, our God will provide! Bridge: a whip crack…another stripe across his back A hammer blow…a cruel spike into flesh goes Blood pours down from the wound upon his side And as he bowed his head…our Savior died… 2nd bridge: *There is p'wr,p'wr wonder working power…in the precious blood of the Lamb…Are you washed, in the blood, in the precious blood of the Lamb? Mary had a little lamb, his fleece was pure and white as snow… God provided a way for all to be saved! Yes our God, our God will provide!

Dearest Crystol, your song is an amazing journey through faith and sacrifice, putting together powerful narratives from scripture and hymns. I loved the imagery of Abraham's obedience and Christ's ultimate sacrifice is very moving. Your lyrics beautifully convey the assurance of divine provision and redemption, echoing through the ages This is a heartfelt expression of faith—it's the enduring power of belief in the face of adversity. - Blessings, Daniel

Awesome. Many don't realize that Abraham's willingness to offer up his beloved son was a prophetic drama that prefigured God giving up his only begotten. Where would we be without that gift of love and sacrifice?

Amen! When studying to write this I realized it was the same geographic place.. where God sent Abraham to sacrifice and where Christ was crucified. I thought that was awesome. Thanks for your feedback!!
