God Sends His Holy Comforter - John 15: 26-27

Jesus warned His disciples He would leave
but a holy comforter would be sent
from God the Father in His holy place
as a divine comforter, He came as was meant

Now this is the holy spirit of truth
who is a person, part of the trinity divine
having come down from the father
showing the disciples a sure and certain sign

This is the holy spirit who testifies
that Christ has come as a human person
displaying He is God's son no less
sent as the only saviour, there's no other version

From this, Jesus told His disciples
that each of them would bear witness
showing that all they knew was true
proving true their spiritual fitness

Since Jesus began His earthly ministry
His disciples were always there
so they saw first hand the gospel
in action now we've all to share

(John 15:26-27 King James Version (KJV)
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.)

Gordon, it isn't easy to write about the Holy Spirit. But you have grounded your words in the Scriptures, and have written a beauty, to which I say a hearty amen. I am so grateful for the work of the Holy Spirit, throughout history and still today. Many blessings, my friend ~ John

I love your poem and message, Gordon, so beautifully written. I was saved at the young age of six at a summer retreat with my aunt. I can remember an indescribable warm light pulling from my chair to the altar. It was a truly remarkable moment. My aunt said I talked about Heaven a lot on that visit. It's amazing how the Holy Spirit works in us. :) Blessings, Rhonda xx

Hi, Rhonda so glad you were impressed with my piece and that you loved it, great to hear your testimony as in fact had discussions recently about early child conversions which we don't seem to hear of these days but I believe real conversions at that age can still happen as you have proved.Have a blessed weekend
