God Save the Queen
I remember singing God Save The Queen
At my school before I became a teen
I recall the event quite vividly
For it marked a change in the monarchy
It was for Elizabeth the second
On the event of her coronation
Her father, George sixth, had already died
Over the nation, she must now preside
That took place in June nineteen fifty three
Today, she is still there, looking healthy
She already outlived several rulers
And may continue to outlast others
She is admired all over the world
May the Lord continue to bless her soul
