God Gifts Me Another Day

God peeks through the clouds
His eyes shining with pride
Glad about the cool, clear water
Excited about gifting us a fresh new day.
I look across Lake Michigan and meet God’s gaze
Feeling beloved, as he instills joy into my heart
And encourages the lake to bring me peace
I feel optimistic and revitalized.
