Glory In the Sunrise
The night was long, heralded by wind and rain
The weary voice of a sleeping world suspended
Fanned are the dreams that seem to fly on wings
And heavy lay the dreary clouds decended
Over distant hills, a waking day embraces
Fading darkness with morning's dew kissed charms
Earth and sun, two 'twining hearts together
In gladness joined with fervant tender arms
Softly silent, crests the rising of the sun
Dimming stars that fade along a morning mist
Like flames upon the sleepy earth awakened
In welcome voice, a greeting's golden kiss
The blushing sky in brightest woven fabric
Lighten hearts, lifts eyes in awe attended
Yellow fields alive, and crimson trees
Behold the beauty of a world becoming splendid
Ovation to a song of morning sunrise!
Winds that rustle leaves that sleeping lay
Answered humbled prayers upon the alter
My grateful soul awakes to praise this day!!
