Global Warming Frenzy

Step aside, Mr. Gore, as the world's people rebel
Despite your predictions, Earth is not as hot as hell

We took your global warnings seriously at first
But for your dire forecasts, we no longer thirst

UN scientists who'd backed up your warnings
Now say there's no evidence the planet is warming

Instead, a mini ice age raps on a frosty door
A whiteout winter lingers; snow still covers Earth's floor

Was it all a ruse to propel yourself to the spotlight?
As the blizzards wreak havoc, you've fallen from our sight

And worse, we are left to wonder why you paid no heed
To historical cycles that made your theories weak

Prehistoric species fell during a period of heat
And proof of past ice ages are preserved in Mammouth meat

So please do us a favor and stay, as now, in hiding
Your doom and gloom prophecies we are now deriding

With each shovel of unprecedented winter snow
Angry Americans shake their heads and want to know

If it was the speaking engagements and book sales
That led you to express your global warming wails

Or did corporate backers of your "green energy" business
Lead you to attempt to spoon feed us utter nonsense

Pollution is of great concern to all with conscience
But attributing climate cycles to it simply made no sense

The UN scientists now say they've lost all supporting data
Belief in "global warming" has been tossed back at ya

Great commentary on what can happen when the facts are not all in. A good reputation can then go bad.

Sock it to em Carolyn, I do believe that all that you have said is certainly true. Especially in view of some of the antics the worldly minded employ to propel themselves into the spotlight where thy can sell their lies. Excellent read, as I have come to expect from your input, Carolyn. Sincere, Agape, Moses

Amen to THAT Carolyn!! - To me Mr. Gore is the ULTIMATE phony politician...just looking for another 'cause' to latch on to. (I think he's still ticked off that he got 'cheated' out of getting to the White House) I believe he actually won a Nobel Prize for his documentary on this subject?...Lordy me... I don't trust ANY of them anymore! - Tim

I believe Mr. Gore is being sincere. And that we have a chance to slow down the distruction of the world. But with out the unity of the world we won't be able to save it. We need everyone to help. Everyone. John H Loving III Remember it was Noah that said there was going to come a flood. and a promise that not water but fire next time.

You speak your point of view well. Thank you Carol for your always kind comments I rewrote my "Your Easy Chair" to fit Brian's format but I think perhaps it suffered for it. Love, Joyce

I'm just glad someone took the time to warn us instead acting like it does not exist. I have this poem for that movie too, well it inspired the poem. Its like beef with the demo"S on this site though.. I'm starting to notice that... Enjoyed your point of view though enjoyed this and have a great day:)

Let's hope A. Gore's predictions are all politically charged. As for myself - I've said it before - the whole damn bunch of Washington politicians are controlled by lobbyists, self-interest, and diarrhea of the mouth. I was a Jimmy Carter fan. BIG LOVE, daver
