Glimpses of a Possible Joy

How can I be joyful in the mist of sadness...
when every side of the Universe is subdued by darkness?
How real are the glimpses of a possible joy:
awaiting me and not being stalled by animosity?

Come gladness to fulfill this imaginary vision,
without causing an undesired emotion;
come tomorrow and ease the burden on me,
I can't find purpose by detaching myself from reality!

Musicians,grab your guitars and flutes
and make my dance more vibrant than the slender dudes;
I seldom have been denied noble freedom,
and wouldn't I have rebelled...not to allow martyrdom?

Come and join me virtuosos with splendid voices,
invent another melody to make your music rhyme with my verses;
to soothe those lonely souls seeking a pinch of consolation
from flimsy faces that only offer repulsion!

How can your happiness be restored to its former glory?
Begin to change yourself and your worthless thoughts,
and achieve what others can't...without juggling with the odds;
and no reward is greater than the glimpses of a possible joy!
