Giving Thanks To Friends

T o all the friends who
H ave supported me,
A day is dedicated.
N ot only were you
K eeping me in your prayers, but
S ending uplifting thoughts my way,
G iving me hope when
I could find none within, during
V ery stressful times.
I toast your friendship
N ow and always ,
G rateful for your loving ways.

D o you know how much it meant
A s you stood by my side?
Y our support, my friends, I will never forget.

I do love your tribute, my friend Carolyn and wish you great success in Dane Ann's contest with this so well written poem. I didn't feels so well lately and so I did not comment on many poems recently. At least no kidney problems when I had an appointment today with my physician. Thank you for your kind comment on "Summer Serenades". I also posted some new pics with my poems on facebook. Have a nice day!...Love, Gert

What a wonderful and creative tribute to friends, Carolyn :) this is really sweet and I totally agree with you-- there should be a day to dedicate to friends who've been through through thick and thin-- lucky are we who find true friendship here at the Soup! & thank you btw for your comments on my weird poem, you actually made me feel unweird (lol is this a word??) ^_^ so thank you! & happy that you were reminded of your aunt-- she is a wise one indeed! hugs -- nikko :)

Good luck in the contest with this Thanksgiving of praise for your friends...Reads like a winner...In answer to your question: Redeye Gravy is made from the drippings from country ham and coffee...The caffeine from the coffee could make the cat run wild ...It was wild imagination on my part for I use decaffeined coffee..Sara

Caroline...many sincere thanks for your kind remarks about my TRIMDON GRANGE....the simple reason behind my ability to write in dialect is tha t it is the dialect i spoke as a child, never to be forgotten, but unfortunately lost these days in the world of business and teaching where i have learned to speak "proper English"....i only use this dialect for my kids' amusement, and my wife can understand it if i slow it down, but basically it has disappeared....pity.....regards ...Syd
