For the sunshine and the sweet honeycomb
For the beautiful roses the sweetheart brought home
For the corn and the wheat that is reaped
For the barns that are for the winter heaped
For the words and inspiration poets have thought
For the affections and hope friendship has brought
For the skill and trade bringing wealth to our land
For the freedom and strength of the workman’s hand
For the lovely dreams that heaven fulfills
For the colorful trees and the painted green hills
For the families with affection they are blest
For the autumn beauty taking a long rest
For the world and all of mankind’s care
For the ships that are anchored there
For the springtime’s blooming symphony
For the golden sunshine and rain eternally
For the pattern of white, red and blue
For the proud flag that is always shining true
For the country that is known as the land of the free
For the land extending from sea unto sea
