They follow Trump's tweets with disdain Ridicule, lie and constantly blame Marchers deny Trump as President Arm-guarded stars arrogantly vent To millions of 'racist' 'deplorable' citizens Who did the unthinkable - not vote for Clinton People of faith, grassroot Americans Law-abiding gun owners, republicans Everyone and all who had had enough Illegal immigration, above-the-law stuff Educated workers from all occupations Draining the swamp of career politicians Approval rating beats Obama's first year Lowest unemployment - did you not hear? Foreign policy and immigration Tax reform, health care and deregulation Largest agenda passed in modern history Totally ignored by MSM hypocrisy Is it too much to give Trump a chance? Stop negativity to see if perchance There might be common ground to be had Maybe, just maybe it's not all that bad Yes, many problems still need attention At least use facts instead of misinformation March 7, 2018

Susan, the ink was flying and my ears were burnin'. You've really penned a very tight rebuttal to the limousine liberals like me. There is much to be said for too strident views against Trump and disrespecting the office as well. The Congress has been inexplicable in its inaction and tribalism. Sadly, although I have tons of respect for your thoughtful nature, we'd have to sit down and review our positions as I do with many of my Republican friends. So from my bleeding heart, I send poetic hugs.

Susan, I sense a kindred spirit! I'm glad you wrote this, as I agree it is shameful too. No one would think of treating any other sitting president this way. You are completely right, Susan.

Thanks, Susan, a very intelligent poem! I I appreciate poems on both sides when they are well written! I hate the way we are treating this president. And we are teaching our children to be disruptive and disrespectful. Thanks again, Susan <3

So much truth in your words Susan. I love this poem. Your point is clear and melodically stated. Everyone deserves a chance but I have never seen an elected President have to deal with more crap than this one has. It is ridiculous. I don't spend as much time here as I used to because of all of the Trump bashing I have seen.

Yes it does get overwhelming. I try to ignore... Thanks for your kind comment. I'm glad I posted it now. Almost didn't.

I'm not going to comment how I voted but lets just say that I'm still waiting for Cher and Al Sharpton to pack their bags. All the whiners need to give back their record gains in the stock market. Just saying. Thank you for the awesome write.

Susan. How refreshing to read a thoughtful reasoned observation on the President, rather than the usual knee jerk, venemous, emotional rants, normally presented as political analysis. You might like to read my poems: Song if a Protestor; and Sonnet for the Politically Correct.

I am not a Trump fan but I appreciate a different view of the room. I am also not a Hillary fan. For me I am amazed that out of all the intelligent people in the USA that you ended up with a choice between Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumber. I have to also say I find the “Fake News” Mantra to be ludicrous. Intelligent thought on both sides of the aisle is being ignored.

Brave poetry. I might not agree with trump on any count, but I like it when poets swim against the main strem. Thank you, Kai

You know, Susan. every president is unpopular. Politics is such a cutthroat business. It seems people are afraid of change. Time will be the judge. I did not vote for Mr Trump but I am a patriot. I respect the office. The congress and the house are to blame for inaction or action, not the president. Sitting back and whining is not a solution. I enjoyed your point of view.
