Give Peace a Chance
You keep saying you want peace
So why not give it a chance
You move your own direction
You really don't want to dance
The blood of all our children
It drips from your evil lips
Our future in the balance
You're the one who makes it tip
You paint us pretty pictures
So that we believe you're wise
A path towards destruction
That is paved in ruthless lies
For once try to imagine
A world where we get along
Trying hard to find the good
Instead of looking for the wrong
For peace there can be no hope
When hate is held in our hearts
If we justify our actions
Sadly we're doomed from the start
One day a peaceful Kingdom
Will spread from God's mighty hand
The end of the destroyer
He will no longer rule the land
A new city from Heaven
We will see the promised day
A stream of living water
All that's old passes away
A place where all are brothers
We take time to understand
Love is the inspiration
Hate is blown away like sand
