Give Me a Sign
Give me a sign
I was a soldier of war,
the killing haunts me every day...
I don't want to fight no more,
hope God, will hear me when I pray
I've got water to my neck, but,
all I can do is splash around...
My life is in distress, and I feel,
like I'm gonna drown...
so please...
Chorus
If you exist God, give me a sign
can you hear me?
If you exist God, give me a sign
do you hear me?
Been living on the streets,
seen some things... I can't un-see
Been tangled in the sheets,
trying hard to get myself free...
Been living on the edge,
screaming without a sound...
I'm standing on this ledge,
trying hard not to look down...
Chorus
If you exist God, give me a sign
can you hear me?
If you exist God, give me a sign
do you hear me?
I've got visions of violence,
running barefoot...in the rain...
Disillusioned in silence,
there's a scarecrow in my brain,
so..
help me please!
Chorus
If you exist God, give me a sign
can you hear me?
If you exist God, give me a sign
do you hear me?
repeat chorus
I've been living on the edge,
screaming hard
without...
a
sound...
