"I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life ..." John 14:6 ______________________________ life has taken me on a journey- endless with happiness but laced with downs I have knocked on the gates of Heaven twice now and been turned away . . . and been left asking but what is my purpose and reason when one is faced with death, as I was- suddenly the things collected and thought of as treasures are just meaningless stuff- very unimportant having things is not happiness . . . for without a purpose- life is trivial, petty and pointless I now see difficulties and failures- as not things to destroy me but as lessons to learn that to keep moving forward has meaning . . . to share, to be kind, and to help has direction that to love with all my heart and accept life brings peace the day I could sit totally alone- calm in silence and do nothing was when it happened I found my reason and God given gift . . . it washed over me like a cool waterfall in the sun that day I picked up my pen with purpose that is the day- I began living a life of meaning . . . ______________________ May 22, 2019 Poetry/Free Verse/Give Life Meaning Copyright Protected, ID 19-1146-158-02 All Rights Reserved. Hello Dear Heart, John Lennon, was not my fav. Beatle . It was Ringo Starr. To me he was the down to earth Beatle. have a nice day my friend.

A beautiful poem Constance, that I can certainly relate to, I love the quote from John Lennon, (imagine) having that insight at 5 years old. Love the use of Jesus words, spirituality does give us a purpose and meaning to our life. This has to be a fave! Congrats on a fine win!!

I often put things out of mind but occasionally embrace the blessings, not wanting to either hold tight nor ignore God-given things. I almost choked to death in the service. Someone saved my life. I could not breathe and my mind was slipping away. It is surreal. I wasn’t scared. There were only two other Navy recruits with me. I’m glad one took action. Blessings my dear friend!

Kim, thanks for visiting, I have faced death twice in my life, it was scary in the beginning but once things start to fade there is just peace. But I must of had a purpose to fulfill because here I am !
