Give God Your Very Word
A-s you give God your very word,
N-ever break it come what may;
N-or forget it in your mind,
A-lmighty God hears what you say.
P-romise that you have made
A-ims to please the Father;
C-ompletely comply with vow,
A-t dawn tenth of November.
T-he pledge that you swear
A-nd the oath God has heard
N-ever must tell a lie,
G-ive God your very word.
