Ghosts of Winter

Lying curled up in the snow My skin burns with the intensity of my desire Feeling my cheeks go numb, eyes clouding over I melt in the wonder of your passion Feet curling in pleasure I spy the icicles as they glisten Shuddering in delight, I must be dead, such a winter wonderland You touch my skin and it glows with fierce compassion I kiss your lips but they freeze and fall to pieces Here we lay sharing in sweet sensations Just the four of us, mine and yours together Forever we will be, lost in space, time eternal The essence of our love rising in wisps of true elation. Didi, this poem is bone-chilling, fascinating, gripping and brilliant and thanks for your comment on my featured poem, yes it was a sad time after the death of my sister, but my Mom overcame it, and went on to have three other children but me and Mom and Dad, we always held a certain sadness, that was ours~~

Perhaps you each had a child with you to make this a frolicsome foursome, Didi! Sounds like a very happy family outing mixed with passion between you and him as well. Enjoyed very much, Didi, and thanks for your comments. Love, Carolyn

very unusual. Making me wonder about the "four of us" line. Imaginative!
