Gentle Returning

With each note a new letter that forms part of a word in a sentence in my mind that has never been heard. Drawing in places and faces and themes of deep water blues and empathy greens. (It's like I'm about to find out what it means) and while rhythm is driving epiphany on and peace and forgiveness are singing along the words of a song so gentle and kind to each one and all as they float through my mind echo on walls of my own distant making, returning as remedy for a heart that is aching.

This is beautiful.. I particularly love those last two lines. Also: 'of deep water blues and empathy greens' - a line that's not only experienced in the mind.. Yeah, beautiful.

Hi, I must say you managed to capture my interest right from the title. I love the way you’ve expressed the journey starting from a note and delving into the unknown inorder to find answers. Well penned. I’m definitely looking forward to read more of your work. Vicky.

Noticed in your reply to Mystic Rose, you say you love the banjo! I played 5-string banjo in a semi successful folk group back in the sixties... we're soul mates! Yee haw!

I hope it is still getting played sometimes Jack. I'm always amazed at how instruments can be put down for a while as I find it hard not to play one or another everyday and how happy friends have been when they remember how much they love playing just for the joy. Would that have been any band i might know or could research ?

Wow! I love the way you have described the process of songwriting - the way words just seem to form in your mind. I especially love the last two lines.
