Greetings, Tom! You have so perfectly described this marvelous bird. We are on the flyway for geese. Love to watch them. They are wondrous creations. If a goose becomes sick or wounded, two geese will fly down and stay with them until they heal or die. Also, they take turns at leading the "v." Best wishes for the contest. Over Fork Over!

Hello Tom, First, I love Haikus, and yours is timeless in the way you capture these moments, the wheat fields, the gathering cold, the instinctive lift of wings. Your haiku set feels like standing right there beneath the V, listening to that chorus that tells us the seasons are shifting again. Clean, clear, beautifully observed in a Tom way.
