Gatekeeper

She holds a set of dangling golden keys, In front of a massive silvery gate. Knowing the prize I ask to enter please, But she shakes her head which denotes my fate. I take out magical potion to trade, But no interest as she agitates. I have no army to perform a raid, So I am thinking I will come back late. "I can read your mind", she awkwardly smiles, Though my destiny is beyond her reach... That is, if I can walk a hundred miles, To enter from the unprotected beach. Then to surprise she quickly chages her mind, With her and the dragon that I may dine! 3-September-2021
