Written for the January words Pleiades contest sponsored by Andrea Dietrich. Garnet~ my birthstone...

Glimmers of rose petals Glisten on the skyline, Gold, glittered with deep red~ Gloaming gems, mirroring Gossamer silk of stars, Gliding across a love- Glazed garden of yearning.

Another gorgeous one. Those who did garnets or snow gave me the prettiest poems. Congrats, birthday girl.

My birthstone is peridot (ugh), kind of a funky green. I like garnet, and your Pleiades. My wife looks good in rubies with her ebony hair
