Fear gripped my soul
When I contemplated
Doing that new thing…
… and I asked God
“What if I fail?”
He answered softly,
“Dear child, what if…
You gain your wings?”
And I remembered why
He is the God I turn to
For insight and inspiration
Assurance and encouragement
Light, love and laughter
Everything that is good
Comes to me from Him
Who grants me grace and mercy
With a love that keeps me filled
With praise and worship
For Him who makes my life
Worth everything that comes
God sought me, bought me
And taught me…
In the end, He is my best friend
