I've been out of the dating scene for a while, I don't know the do’s, don'ts, nor the latest style. I'm well past my prime; that's me putting it nice, Tried online dating, took a chance, rolled the dice. I logged on, I was in total shock, I saw an old flame, My high school boyfriend, I uttered his name. I thought when we finished school we'd tie the knot, but in senior year, a dear John letter is what I got. He said he was too young to be so serious, The letter was very short and a bit mysterious. It didn't stop me from clicking; I almost got whiplash, I sent him a quick DM and made a mad dash. Away from my trusted computer screen, Moments later, I saw a hideous scene. Staring back were FUZZY purple socks, Not to mention he wore Bright yellow crocs. I thought to myself, “no wonder he’s single!” But what the heck, it's time to mingle. This is really fun Alexis. Purple socks and yellow crocs. Reminds me of an old song from the fifties. "He wore tan shoes with pink shoe laces, a polka dot shirt and man oh man. He wore tan shoes with pink shoes laces and a big panama with a purple hat band." Loved this. God Bless, JB

A fantastic string of couplets Alexis, a great contender for Francine’s contest, as brilliant as it’s hilarious. If one can see past the crocs and fuzzy socks, who knows a treasure maybe got… Belle :-)
