Funny Thing, Life
Funny how we all strive
To get ahead
When in our hive
Getting out of bed
Is a challenge
Funny how we all love
To be loved
When in our hearts
Pierced with Cupid’s darts
It just aches
Funny how life
Is filled with strife
Yet we stumble on
Whilst we sing a song
Even if it is tuneless
Funny how jokes
And puns and pokes
Pulls at our face
And fills empty space
With joy and giggles
Funny thing
life
