Fun: Walking

Burbling birds sang songs of love,
While colours of life danced about,
And I slowly strolled lost in my mind,
Not wanting to be part of the crowd,

When I saw our strides matching each other,
Our footsteps keeping in time,
So, with stealth, I quickened my step,
Till her steps were slower than mine,

But then she glided past me with grace,
Her arms swung a little bit high,
Of course I upped my pace to hot,
And quickly walked on by,

Then she broke into a run,
And I ran as fast as a breeze,
And we both ran past songs of burbling birds,
Singing in the trees.
