Full Flight

If I had my way I would come back as a droning dragonfly strong and determined or maybe a damselfly dainty and graceful Either way I’d surf the sky every hour of the day and hover on and on over drifting waterlilies the whole night through In the magic of moonlight I’d circle with my awesome wings knowing life is much too short I'd never pause I’d never rest I’d never want to sleep Published in my 24-page photo/anthology book ~WHAT IF THIS IS ALL THERE IS~ 2023 AP: Honorable Mention 2021 Posted on October 17, 2018

This makes absolute complete sense: "I’d circle with my awesome wings I’d never rest I’d never sleep Knowing life is much too short" I had read somewhere that the age span of a dragonfly or damselfly is 24 hours, so it is truly a blessing when you see one.

Such complexity and beauty...I looked it up the typical dragonfly's life span is roughly 6 months!! Now I'm really glad I wrote this tribute. Thanks, Caren.
