Full Circle . . .

I walk to the place I laughed the most wholly
With stars in my hair and holding a dripping ice lolly
I look to the days when laughter was just gay
when true to her word mum was just a shout away

Holding onto memories, rejoicing in my past
Alas I have forgotten about this day that has past
My children I watch with a numbed expression
Wet cheeks abound in this selfmade prison

I fear not what may happen but build a masked exterior
Depressed and saddened I awaken in this manner
Angst and bleak I sleep with this dilemma
Yet unknownst I hold onto this past long unveiled

Begone unhappiness rejoice in these here times
Look to their future, for my progeny it will rewind
