Notes About The Poem

Frozen With Fright

Three mischievous boys played hooky from school Big eyed Red, Ted, and Fred thought they were cool Until frozen with fright Their scared faces turned white Before they were gobbled up by a ghoul

Lin...yes the truant officer is quite a character! Hope it's not anyone you know...although I think I would give some credit to those who would do that occasionally--especially if school is dull or boring. It reflects a bit of independence. Of course in this world, if anything happened, the school (aka prison) would be held liable! Smiles!

So difficult to harness a limerick from the prompt photo, and this is where true poetic imagination shines through, so obviously I haven’t got one lol! I totally bottomed out on this one so far, great one for the contest, cheers David

Thanks, David. Then you were in the same frame of mind that Jan and I found ourselves in. This is the third one I started, the first two were so awful that if they'd been written on paper they'd be rumpled and lying on the floor. I hope Jan's shows up on the winning list. She threw a dagger.
